Cheri Buchholtz has more than 20 years of combined experience in accounting, real estate, manufacturing, and engineering. She is a Certified Public Accountant with a Master of Science in Accountancy and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering.

Cheri began her career in a hard hat and steel-toed boots interning with the Bureau of Reclamation at Hoover Dam and Lake Pleasant’s New Waddell Dam. After graduation, she traded-in her hard hat for a hair net and safety glasses to spend more than five years with Frito-Lay at their Casa Grande manufacturing facility. There she managed production of Doritos, Fritos, and Cheetos, oversaw the plant’s supply chain into the Phoenix and Southern California markets, and prepared the plant’s annual production budget.

When Cheri stepped away to raise her young daughter, she kept her mind focused first by becoming a fourth generation Realtor and then by taking over the accounting for her husband’s software company. As her daughter entered high school, Cheri began her Master of Science in Accountancy.

In her four years with Cole Real Estate Investments, Cheri quickly moved up to Senior Accounting Manager. She served on the Private Equity side during the merger with Cole Credit Property Trust III, the subsequent public offering, and the merger with ARCP (American Realty Capital Partners). She was responsible for the Private Capital segment financials and ensuring compliance with FINRA (Financial Industry Regulatory Authority) regulations.

Cheri went on to serve as the Controller/V.P. of Finance for APS BioGroup. She supported this growth phase manufacturing company by implementing continuous improvement methods to constructively identify root causes and define strategic solutions. She migrated their GL, managed lender relationships, streamlined annual audits, and developed a production planning model to provide demand visibility, reduce labor costs, and ensure on-time deliveries.

As the CFO/Controller for De Rito Partners, Cheri provided oversight for annual audits, tax returns, financial reporting, cash projections, quarterly distributions, and investor relations. She also transformed the accounting department by migrating and consolidating GL systems, automating AP, and developing processes for allocations and consolidations.

Cheri is a creative, forward-thinking, and proactive professional. She takes a holistic approach to decision making, strategic planning, and tactical implementation. Cheri believes in keeping what works and changing what doesn’t.
